Mr. Markham (played by Edmond Genest) is one of the financial backers of Commodore Louis Kaestner's political coup against Nucky Thompson. He is present for the beginning of construction on The Atlantic City war memorial in 1921 and later at the meeting with his co-conspirators at Jackson Parkhurst's home. Mr Markham is clean shaven and wears spectacles. At the meeting Markham tells Jimmy that the problem is a matter of "Discretion and return on capital" and asks to speak to The Commodore. When Jimmy continues to obfuscate the reason for The Commodore's absence Markham warns him "Listen son, you're trying to diddle the wrong men." ("Gimcrack & Bunkum")
