When the Commodore gets agitated during a meeting Jimmy Darmody calls over Langston to wheel The Commodore out of the room. ("The Age of Reason")

Jimmy begins to use The Commodore's home for meetings of his own. Langston shows in Manny Horvitz and Mickey Doyle to meet with Jimmy. Later Langston announces Nucky Thompson. ("Two Boats and a Lifeguard")

Langston stands ready to serve The Commodore and his guests as they discuss ending the strike by African American hotel workers. ("Georgia Peaches") The Commodore is killed by Jimmy during a domestic dispute. Langston was not present at the time. ("Under God's Power She Flourishes") Langston continues to serve Jimmy and Gillian following The Commodore's death. He shows in politicians Jim Neary, Al Boyd and Paddy Ryan for a meeting with Jimmy.
