June Thompson (played by Nisi Sturgis) is the wife of Eli Thompson and the mother of his eight children.

BiographyEdit

Eli attends the Order of Ancient Celts annual St. Patrick's Day dinner and comes home drunk. June rubs his back as he vomits into their toilet. ("Nights in Ballygran")

Eli and June attend the wedding of one of her cousins. June sleeps in the car on the way home as Eli stops to make a collection from Lolly Steinman's casino. He interrupts a robbery in progress and is shot and wounded. June helps to care for him at home. ("Hold Me in Paradise")

Season 2Edit

She expresses concerns about Eli's ailing father Ethan Thompson. ("A Dangerous Maid")

The children are playing noisily while Eli eats breakfast with Ethan. June chides two of the children for running around. Eli’s older son Michael announces a visitor; Dick Halsey, clerk to Assistant US Attorney Esther Randolph. Ethan is worried by the visitor and Eli tries to reassure him. Halsey complains that Eli has been avoiding messages at his work and Eli offers the excuse of the busy tourist season. Halsey is there to deliver a subpoena. Eli is enraged that Halsey came to his home. Michael is worried by Eli’s bad language and Ethan is also furious. Eli stands and Halsey says that they could have had him arrested. Eli grabs Halsey by the lapels and pushes Halsey out of the room. Ethan shouts after Halsey and then grabs his chest. June and Michael rush to Ethan’s side, Eli follows them and holds his father’s face in his hands as he passes away. June telephones Nucky Thompson's home and tells Margaret Schroeder the sad news. ("Two Boats and a Lifeguard")

June and her family attend Ethan's funeral on July 1 1921. Nucky and Margaret do not come. ("Battle of the Century")

Eli takes Ray Halloran freshly grown peas from June's garden. ("Georgia Peaches")

Season 3Edit

She passionately welcomes Eli when he returns home after sixteen months in prison for election rigging. She convinces Nucky to come for Easter dinner despite the hostility between the brothers. She briefly bonds with Margret who admires her for making raising a large family look easy. Margret even confesses to her that her relationship with Nucky is failing. Not knowning how to respond, June changes the subject. During the war between Nucky and Gyp Rossetti, Eli has June and the kids stay with her sister in Brigantine, New Jersey.("Spaghetti and Coffee")
