Heilig’s chop house is a restaurant on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is based on the real restaurant located at 1003 Boardwalk, across from Steel Pier. Philadelphia gangsters Waxey Gordon and Alfred Gordetsky eat there on July 2 1921. When Gordetsky is killed by Manny Horvitz he is linked to Atlantic City by a box of branded toothpicks from the restaurant found in his pocket.
