Ian Hart, born October 8, 1964, in Liverpool UK, is an actor. He plays Ethan Thompson in Boardwalk Empire. He is a recurring guest star in the fifth season. Hart appears in flashbacks to the 19th century. He shares the role with guest star Tom Aldredge who portrays the character in the 20th century.
Hart has previously worked with HBO on the series Luck. He starred in Luck as a degenerate gambler named Lonnie. He is also known for acting in the first Harry Potter film and portraying John Lennon in two British films.
