The Fairmount Hotel is a business in Jersey City, New Jersey. Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky rent a suite there when they visit Jersey City to watch World Heavyweight Champion Jack Dempsey fight Georges Carpentier on the weekend of 2 July 1921. The hotel consists of 66 suites in two buildings and is at 2595 Kennedy Boulevard between Duncan and Fairmount Avenues in the Bergen Section of Jersey City. It was built in two stages with the East Building of 33 apartment suites constructed in 1909 by the firm Newman and Harris and the West building of an additional 33 apartments built in 1912 by Frank Newman. The building is still standing in 2011 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
