Eugene Kelly is a motion picture producer. He is a Co-executive producer for Boardwalk Empire. He has worked on the first, second, third and fourth seasons and debuted with the series pilot "Boardwalk Empire". He worked with HBO on the earlier series Band of Brothers, Rome and The Pacific.

BiographyEdit

Earlier careerEdit

Kelly joined the crew of HBO World War II mini-series Band of Brothers as a co-producer for the pilot episodes. He became a co-executive producer when the full mini-series was made.

In 2005 he was a co-executive producer for the HBO drama Rome. The series was a big budget historical epic about the rise and fall of Julius Caesar. Rome was canceled after two seasons. Kelly worked with Boardwalk Empire executive producer Tim Van Patten on Rome; Van Patten was an episodic director for both seasons of the show.

He served as a co-executive producer for the follow-up to Band of Brothers. The second mini-series, entitled The Pacific, followed a trio of marines through the pacific theatre during World War II. The mini-series aired in 2010 after an extended post-production phase. Van Patten was an executive producer and regular director for The Pacific.

Boardwalk EmpireEdit

Kelly joined the crew of Boardwalk Empire as a co-executive producer for the pilot episode. Van Patten also joined the crew during the same period. Kelly remained a co-executive producer following the pilot. The production team was nominated for the 2010 Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series for their work on the first season.

Kelly returned as a co-executive producer for the second season in 2011,the third season in 2012 and the fourth season in 2013.
