Eddie Corrigan is a reporter for the Chicago Tribune Newspaper. Corrigan is played by co-star Brent Bateman in the episode "The Ivory Tower". He attends the funeral of Chicago mafia boss Big Jim Colosimo and questions Colosimo's underboss Johnny Torrio. Corrigan (correctly) believes that Torrio ordered Colosimo's murder. At the funeral he is pushed back by Torrio's drive Al Capone. Corrigan later tracks Capone down tending bar at the Four Deuces, a whorehouse. He asks Capone for a statement and tells Capone that he plans to run a story linking Torrio to Colosimo's death. Capone severely beats Corrigan.
