Dave Flebotte is an American television writer and producer. He wrote the Season 2 Boardwalk Empire episode "Georgia Peaches". He also wrote for HBO drama The Sopranos and has worked extensively in television comedies.

BiographyEdit

Earlier careerEdit

Flebotte began his television writing career with the show The 5 Mrs. Buchanans in 1994. He served as a story editor and writer for the first season. The series was cancelled after one season. He became an executive story editor and writer for third season of Ellen in 1995. He was promoted to co-producer for the fourth season in 1996.

He became a supervising producer and writer for new series The PJs in 1999. He became a co-executive producer for the second season in 2000. He also worked as a consulting producer and writer for Suddenly Susan season 4 in 1999. He became an executive producer and writer for short-lived The Geena Davis Show in 2000.

In 2002 he wrote for HBO drama The Sopranos. He co-wrote the teleplay for the episode "Calling All Cars" with David Chase, Robin Green & Mitchell Burgess from a story by Chase, Green, Burgess and Terence Winter. Winter later created Boardwalk Empire. Flebotte also worked as a writer for the second season of The Bernie Mac Show in 2002.

He joined the crew of 8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter as a consulting producer and writer for the latter part of the first season in 2003. He remained in this role when the second season began in fall 2003. He became an executive producer and writer for the seventh season of Will & Grace in 2004.

In 2007 he wrote an episode of State of Mind and worked as a consulting producer for the second season of Men in Trees.

In early 2008 he worked as a co-executive producer and writer on Dirt. In fall 2008 he joined the crew of Desperate Housewives as a co-executive producer and writer for the fifth season. He remained in this role for the sixth season in 2009. He returned as a co-executive producer for the seventh season in 2010 and then became a consulting producer for the later part of that season in 2011.

While working on Desperate Housewives he created the comedy Sherri in 2009. He served as an executive producer for the show. It was cancelled after one season.

Boardwalk EmpireEdit

He joined the crew of Boardwalk Empire as a writer for Season 2 and wrote the tenth episode "Georgia Peaches".
