Lillian "Billie" Kent (played by Meg Steedle) is a recurring character in the third season of Boardwalk Empire. She is a young Broadway actress and a bit of a floozy - and the new mistress of Nucky Thompson.
A showbiz unknown, Billie takes prides in being able to take care of herself and being financially independent, though she certainly lets Nucky spoil her.
Season 3 Edit
Nucky's New Year's Eve party is a huge success. The guests are delighted with the Egyptian themed design. Nucky hires Eddie Cantor, who brings Billie Kent to help provide musical entertainment for the crowd. The two of them pull Nucky up for a dance, comparing him to King Tutankhamen. Nucky and Margaret give out real gems and jewelry as party favors and the other gangsters take notice and look displeased just before having a meeting with the heads of their respective territories. The meeting concerns the announcement that Nucky will sell directly only to Rothstein, who becomes their "primary vendor". Buying from Rothstein as middle man, rather than directly, will increase the cost of the liquor. All are displeased, especially one character who voices an opinion that presages the upcoming season.
Nucky returns to his suite at the Ritz Carlton after the party to find Billie waiting for him in bed. He jokes with her about sneaking her into the party as an entertainer. ("Resolution")

Nucky is in New York on business and spends his visit with Billie at her apartment. His jealousy is stoked when she answers the phone flirtatiously and again when he finds another man's razor in her bathroom. Nucky spends the evening with Billie and her friend Viola at a speakeasy. He is again reminded of Billie's relationships with other men when she flirts with a stockbroker at a neighboring table. Later, Nucky is in bed with Billie and refuses to let her answer the call, believing it is another man. He tells her that all he wants is to remain with her while everything runs itself. ("Spaghetti and Coffee")
